People Always Find Ways Around the Rules

Show me any rule and I will show you someone who has found a way to get around the rule. It seems to be human nature. None of us want to be boxed in. We will find a way to do what we want to do even if there are rules put in place to stop us.

There are examples of this all throughout history. It isn't just individuals that break the rules either. Sometimes entire groups of people will find a way to break a rule together.

For example, back in the 1970's, the country of Japan decided that it was going to ban firearms. Individuals would no longer be allowed to own their own firearms. But what about those people who really enjoyed shooting guns? I'm not talking about the ones who tried to find illegal ways to own guns. I'm talking about those people who wanted to own guns but who didn't want to break the law.

Thus was born the invention of airsoft pistols. These were toy guns that were designed to look and function almost exactly like real firearms. The only big difference was that they didn't use real bullets. This allowed people to own and use guns without breaking the law.
