I just wanted to take a quick moment and help those of you who are having a bit of a challenge with something near and dear to me. Golf college is something very, very different than college golf. You hear me talk a lot about the fact that I attended 2 golf course management schools and then you start making assumptions.
To be fair, I might sometimes confuse you when I use terms like golf colleges, however, and if you're that easily confused, I apologize. Please folks, stop sending me emails and leaving comments asking me which college I played golf for. I was not a university student that joined the golf team.
No, I was one of thousands of individuals that decided to change career focus mid way through life. We've attended accredited golf course management schools, not the college that follows one's K-12 educational career.
It is easy to make the mistake, and I'm not really mad or irritated about it. Just wanted to let folks know that I'm no Rhodes Scholar (at least I knew it wasn't Roads Scholar!) What I am is a nicely paid golf course manager that handles just about every aspect of making our local course the most playable 18 holes around. Hope to see you there sometime.
