A Safe Crowd Is a Happy Crowd

Gina Tetracelli, general manager for General Traffic Statistics Management (GTSM), a firm that tracks safety protocols vs. crowd and traffic incidents nationwide, always says that, “A safe crowd is a happy crowd.” An internal report last year detailed the safety and security, and even mentions the piece of mind that crowd control barriers can provide, even though people may not realize it. “This is especially the case if you’ve ever been in a situation where crowd control was poor. The chaotic organization is quite uncomfortable and can lead to dangerous situations.” The need for crowd control is always at a priority.

Tetracelli also says GTSM tracks traffic control solutions. In the same report, she offers input that indicates the same data appears to apply to all traffic and crowd situations. Barrier equipment, including any jersey barrier, promotes a sense of well-being, perhaps from people knowing they are there, but also in the statistics that come out, saying that these products save lives and reduce injuries. GTSM also coordinates information from the NTSB to integrate facts from their reports about incident and accident data around the country.
